Public Comment Needed On Transportation Issues

Residents and those who work in North Fulton are encouraged to provide their ideas and comments regarding transportation needs in the area during a meeting on January 13. The meeting is being held at Alpharetta City Hall from 7:00 until 9:00 PM and will be coordinated by staff of the Atlanta Regional Commission.

The public listening session is part of an ongoing effort, known as the North Fulton Transportation Resource Implementation Program (TRIP), to develop a comprehensive transportation plan for all of North Fulton. According to area transportation leaders, the effort will assist the local jurisdictions by defining area-wide goals, needs and priorities, establishing the basis for future funding requests and multi-jurisdictional efforts and supporting the unique visions of the participating communities’ growth and infrastructure.

The project, which is supported by all of North Fulton’s municipalities, is being coordinated by the Atlanta Regional Commission with the assistance of the engineering firm of Kimley – Horn and Associates. Those who would like to share comments but who are unable to attend the meeting may do so via email to public.meetingatl@kimley-horn.com Additionally, progress on the project can also be followed via the project Facebook page.

For additional information, please visit www.atlantaregional.com/nfctp or contact the Project Manager, Faye DiMassimo, at 404-419-8700.
